Safety in Numbers – Internet Marketing

It can be said that competition is fierce on the Internet, or maybe because it’s the way business has always been done, but what is done in this regard must be done consistently over time. Because of the nature of the communication, half-baked is not going to do as well as sincere effort.

Marketers can never just ‘kick back’ and figure they have done enough, because they will more than likely fall behind if they don’t really invest themselves in their business. One cause of Internet marketing failures, is because some believe they can just do something once or twice. When they don’t see an instant result, they may quit trying because they think it is pointless. There are actually many reasons people don’t try hard enough and most are avoidable.

You need to keep the volume turned up when it comes to marketing. It is like what you would envision ‘finding a needle in a haystack’ to look like. The majority of people may not be interested in starting a home business online. However thankfully there are some who do. You need to focus on finding them and not give anymore attention than necessary to those who don’t. Most of all don’t let them discourage you.

The number that is considered acceptable is a 1% response rate, for example with eMail marketing. Note that response can mean just a further inquiry and not necessarily a sale or done deal – so the percentage would be even smaller for actual sales. That’s normal and many marketing experts online have learned how to succeed with whatever obstacles there have been just by sheer determination.

Evil spammers are worse than ever. As such eMail services are forced to use spam filters. A double whammy, the spam filters are not that efficient and very often can’t differentiate illegal spam from legal bulk mail sent by legitimate online businesses. That means that your message may go to a spam folder and never be seen by your prospect.

However we should accept that regardless of the problems, eMail marketing is still a major strategy in Internet marketing. You need to keep the number of messages you send to customers, prospects and peers at the max to make up for all the obstacles to be overcome.

Whatever you do, whether it is using list builder systems, having lead capture pages, sending solo ads, or buying leads, you need to realize that you will need many ‘leads’ on an ongoing basis.

Maybe most important is not to get discouraged or blame the program or product you are promoting if you don’t get any response immediately. Keep focusing on what you want to create with your online business. Do not give any unnecessary energy to worrying about people who are not interested. Use your time and energy wisely and focus on the ones who are.

Building a New Business? Stick to It

Peoples lives can sometimes take sudden turns, If that happens, we have to take detours. Some examples of changes could be that our day job has increased the number of hours we are required to work there, so we have less time to devote to our home business.

Or maybe it will be that our financial picture changes. We may have seen the cost of something crucial increase, such as our housing cost or utilities. So again, now we don’t have as much ‘spare change’ to use for developing our new business. The last possible disaster worth mentioning here is that we have had a full-time job and have been building our home business slowly, part-time while we survive on our day job salary. We learn that the day job will be eliminating our position and we need to find another full-time income right away.

Ideally we would be able to devote more time to our home business start-up and eventually make that our primary source of income. If you are entitled to severance pay and/or unemployment insurance, you can probably survive in the interim period and still have time to build your business. The point is that whatever the situation may be, don’t give up your idea to build your own business. If you had plans to do it one way, don’t give up just because your plan has to change when life gets in the way!

Create a new plan, do the same thing but do it a different way. The point is not to be too quick to assume you have no choice but to give up the new business you are building. Many people do not consider their home business to be serious. Obviously if you lose your day job before your home business is generating substantial income, you have a major crisis. In that case it is probably the wisest thing to do to find another day job first – ideally only part-time so you have more time to work at home to build the next chapter of your life.

More people could actually succeed at earning a substantial income from home if a million different things didn’t always take precedence over your home business. This is possible because you are not accountable to anyone else. You need to be accountable to yourself. You need to create a real plan that includes a budget and a schedule and commit to it. Realize what your living expenses are and take stock of how much money you actually have to cover them and by what date. Anything left over is ‘free’ to use for your business expenses.

Business opportunity shopping can create a ‘crazed’ mindset just like any shopping can! Sometimes it can be likened to a kid in a candy store, who wants one of each thing in the store. However this can be disastrous for more than financial considerations. It can be really disillusioning because of the expectation of a return on the investment. If you are having no results on one business opportunity, it is likely it will be across the board with all of your other risks. If you are seeing no results because you are not investing enough time and effort, that is what you need to focus on, not quitting.

No Program Works Unless We Work it – Including Affiliate Marketing

Sans magic tricks there is no program that does absolutely everything for you including the work. No program even on the Internet can make somebody wealthy unless THEY seriously invest their time and effort. People frequently use words like ‘easy’ or ‘fast’ to describe business opportunities online.

It is true, especially when compared to trying to do anything offline. However, you must be logical in your thinking, because both easy and fast are subjective. That is what you think is easy I may think is difficult. or what you call fast may mean something very different to me.

Affiliate marketing programs provide invaluable help to get your online business started. Most give you several different resources toward that end. However nobody is responsible to make it work for you except YOU! If the program ‘works’ for you or not depends on how much effort you are willing to invest in it over time. Unfortunately success is never guaranteed. Success happens usually when YOU make good use of everything to develop your business!

With some spending money you can pay others for services to help you in building an affiliate marketing business at home online. If like many you are a little short on spare change, then you can learn how to do your own marketing and advertising for free or nearly free. Since you will find that besides being cheaper, faster and easier using the Internet you don’t need supplies or equipment like paper, ink, postage, or printers to conduct your promotions for your business. This cuts way down on operating expenses, not to mention time and effort.

Working from home online can be much more enjoyable, for one thing because you can make your own rules about how and when you work, how much time you spend in a work session, and even how you do things. It is still work though and needs to be done consistently.

People sometimes get the impression that they can become wealthy just by joining a program where others may have earned substantial income. That may be a good indicator of a possibility, and it follows that you can do the same. You must realize that if this was the case then you would probably need to use the same techniques they used for the same length of time and with the same consistency.

If you want to earn money, it is necessary to spend the time and do the work. If you are serious about your business, you should remain engaged at all times. If you stop making a real effort or sit back and wait, you will be waiting a long time because it is likely nothing will ever happen.

Cryptocurrency explained by BitcoinBully

If you have been online for a while it has been impossible for you to avoid all the hype and fuzz regarding bitcoin and all the “crypto stuff” And all the claim to be rich quick. You may also have sen warning in your paper, “Bitcoin plummeted to bottom record today, people lost a fortune”. But somehow you couldn’t avoid being tempting to join and try to make some money on your own.

I’m not an expert but most I have seen is honestly crap. But a hope arose when I found out that Jon Olson and friends tried to sort out what works and what don’t. These are people that have been online for a long time and seen most of its backside.

They created BitcoinBully a very gentle program that slides you slowly into the world of crypto. You don’t need to know anything about those fancy words. And your investments are almost nil. How nice, a program that won’t reap out your money.

You are introduced step by step into the different kinds of crypto-related subjects, every step with a video. And when done with your task the next level is unlocked.

I can only say this is the best program so far to introduce you to the crypto-world in an honest and entertaining way with Jon Olson at the wheel.

Are You Standing in Your Own Way for a Successful Home Business?

There are some mindsets that may prevent people from realizing their full potential when trying to get their home business started. Most ideas require more than a ‘vision’ to manifest. We have to make them happen by investing our time and effort to engage in w-o-r-k.

There are sometimes symptoms when there are obstacles people can’t seem to transcend. ‘Paralysis by analysis’ is one such self-limiting condition. Paralysis by analysis is where people get stuck in the learning curve – like a hamster wheel. All they want to do is just keep reading and researching. They never reach a point where they can believe they know enough to actually take action with any of the information they have acquired in all their time of ‘study’.

Paralysis by analysis is very much like stage fright. However, it can also be a more or less permanent excuse to avoid doing the actual work, and even to insulate themselves from potential failure. We will never know if we could have success or failure unless we try.

Some unfortunate souls have been beaten down by negativity from their family or other acquaintances in their lives. They are more likely not to have a lot of self-confidence and are likely to feel a little insecure. However it is no excuse to fail. Don’t let the enemy have the victory. Learn to resist feelings that keep you from achieving your dreams.

The only solution is to take action. Ignore excuses your mind tells you that supposedly may preclude you from success. If you just defy that part of your mindset and do it anyway, you will overcome that and eventually those bad feelings. You will have the self-confidence to do it and actually you did do it. If it isn’t the best thing you will ever write or create, don’t worry. You will learn as you gain experience.

If when you are new, you don’t know that you have any experience that you can honestly write about, then take something written by someone more experienced, and review that or even quote them. Be sure to remember the quote marks and any URL links provided by the author so that you give the author credit for their work (and don’t get a copyright infringement lawsuit).

Then we have people that perceive a million problems. If there are any actual errors, identify and correct them. Done. Be logical when trying to solve a problem. Don’t be afraid to ask for help – contact support, or contact a peer or mentor who would be willing to help you. Resolve the issue and then move on.

If you still haven’t found the answer, still move on. Make a note to revisit the issue at some other time. Just don’t allow whatever it is to stop you in your progress. If you never find your answer, allow yourself to create an alternative.

Some problems people may imagine do not even exist in reality. Even things like no money for advertising or other operations. Just learn techniques that you can do yourself for free or at an affordable cost. You could sacrifice something that is not essential in order to do something you need to do for your home business.

Use the Power of Search Engines

Search engines (SE) can either make or break your Internet business. You want to do as much as you can to optimize your website and advertising to take advantage of the benefits that the search engines can provide. You also want to take care not to do anything to get on their bad side.

You have probably heard the saying that ‘content is king’. That means that it is not some technical mumbo-jumbo that you need to learn. You need to provide a steady stream of good, original content (information) for your website visitors. This is what search engines call ‘value’. If you want the SEs to send traffic to your site, be sure that your site has ‘value’.

Even more accurately the saying should be ‘fresh content is king’. When the SE robots ‘crawl’ your site they are looking for new information. Initially when your site was built it was indexed according to the content, keywords, etc. Then they will check back every 30 days or so. If the robots do not detect any new changes, they will just turn around and exit, leaving you at the same place in the index as you were originally.

You should strive to keep your link on the first few pages of their search results. When people go to a search engine and search for your keywords they will see your link, click it and visit your site. (this is what is referred to as ‘free, organic traffic’).

The easiest and most efficient way to make sure you always have fresh content, is to either build the website on a blog platform (like WordPress), add a blog to the website as a page, or even as remote as a ‘backlink’. (a blog on a separate site that you can link to). This is much more simple than to try to change the site code, ads, images, etc. each month to create ‘fresh’ content. Back in the day that is what people had to do to stay fresh! So there was no getting away with having some knowledge of HTML code which can get complicated especially if you are new, or expensive if you have to pay someone to do it for you.

If you are at a social network, business forum or article marketing site, use your domain name in your signature (and hyperlink it) to create a link from there, back to your site. In the SEO world (search engine optimization) your focus as part of promoting your business should be to build hundreds of back-links over time. This is indicative that you are actively engaged in your business, rather than just some website that sits on the Internet collecting dust.

Internet Business Start-Up

Taking action is the key to everything. Things usually start with an idea, but unless somebody does something to make them happen they will never be anything but ideas! First to get started, you should really analyze why you think you want to start a business from home. It probably has to do with wanting or needing to earn more money. However there are other important elements that could be encouraging you to think about starting your own business and you should listen to yourself!

Maybe you are in a rut at work and wish you had a different job. You know you could achieve more and you want to be more interested in what you are doing so that you could feel more invested. Possibly you would like to be able to spend more time with your family. It could also be the opposite perspective, that you are bored with staying at home 24/7 to take care of kids or others. It is not that this is not very important, it is just that you don’t find it mentally challenging.

You may feel double discouraged as when you have tried to find a job you were either over or under qualified. Or maybe you didn’t take the job because you didn’t agree with some ideologies there, or weren’t politically connected. Maybe you just didn’t fit in. Both parties can be the best but not be on the same page.

Maybe having gone through years of trial and error and semi-satisfaction, you determine that you really would rather have an alternative lifestyle. Quite legitimate as it’s your life and if possible you should be able to live the way you prefer to. You only live once. So many people ‘sell out’ (compromise just to survive). They can’t be themselves or have any fun.

Most folks usually don’t feel that bad about it being necessary to go along with the program in order to live comfortably. Just think of how much worse if there was no way. If you can find a way to be self-employed, you can have it all. If you have a home, a computer, an Internet connection, and some basic skills, you have the foundation on which to start a home business.

Next you need to determine some ways that you can make money at home. This may come to you in stages, where it is not what you consider your best idea that is necessarily the most likely to succeed. As with a corporation where you start at entry level and work your way up, you may need to do this with your own business. The major point though is to start some place. If you sit and think about it, there are a number of things you can do or learn to do online that could turn into a profitable business that also provides some gratification someday.

Build a Business You Can Love if You Hate Your Job

We can have more fun working if we are doing things we like to do. Way too often we are forced to accept situations because we have no choice. This is particularly true with a job. Most company’s define a job by the tasks they need done. We may be fortunate enough to have a job that offers a variety of things to do. That makes it possible to like some aspects of the job more than others, which helps a little to get through the days.

If you are planning to start your own business you can design something that you enjoy. It may help you if you start a couple lists that outline your interests and hobbies, and another that has your work experience and skills. You can drill down on each point to analyze how you could earn income from home using those same skills.

For example, if you really love to play golf. You might start a blog and write about golf – share some techniques, trivia, news stories, reviews, etc. You may want to include a calendar of tournaments in various geographical areas including information to help people travel to those destinations, reserve lodging, etc. Focus on attracting other golf enthusiasts.

To monetize your blog you could add some ads for golf equipment – you could find outlets that have golf clubs, golf shoes, golf clothes, and other golf equipment. You can then make arrangements to either become an affiliate or a distributor of those items, so that you would have a way to drop-ship from the manufacturer to the customer.

As well, if you love arts and crafts including candle making, soap or candy making, baking, ceramics, jewelry, etc. it could really be a fun business for you. For holidays and other events you could make gift baskets that include a variety or stay with one theme. These baskets are really festive and a lot of fun to receive as well as create.

This model is a little more intensive because you have to consider the cost of all your materials to create your gifts, as well as shipping materials. You could run your ads on an auction site or online store front linked to your blog, so that they could handle your order transactions, payment gateway, etc.

If you consider yourself more of an ‘office’ person, you could offer services with your computer. These can include running SEO campaigns, tutoring online or by group chat (e.g., Skype) in computer or Internet basics, ghostwriting, tax preparation/accounting, or customer service. Again look at your list of skills and try to translate them into something you can do as a home business.

Leadership Skills for Home Business Entrepreneurs

Of the common traits of successful leaders, the top two characteristics are thought to be being conscientious and being extroverted. Being conscientious one would always be taking care of business, (doing what you have to do, on time); and having a business plan including target goals. Being focused of course has everything to do with having any of these skills.

Being an extrovert has more to it than being ‘the life of the party’ and indicates someone who is outgoing and sociable. Being sociable is a trait or ability that is instrumental in the art of motivating others. Dominance is also a factor that people react to because they believe it indicates competence, so they might trust you if they see you that way.

There are always exceptions to every rule, and in this case for example an introvert can also be an effective leader because they listen to others. Now isn’t that a gift! We need more people who will really care enough to listen. A good leader would be attractive to others. Trust and respect are important in business. They are qualities that make one attractive to others. Trust and respect are particularly relevant if you are in a position to encourage others to follow you into a business opportunity.

It doesn’t mean you can’t still be a good leader and be successful in business if these character traits don’t come naturally. It would be in your best interest to cultivate them. If you are shy and a bit introverted, forcing yourself to smile and making eye contact frequently will go a long way. Pretty soon it will seem more natural. People do not read our minds and being shy may often be perceived as being unapproachable or even ‘stuck-up’.

Being conscientious is easier to practice because we can control our own actions if we plan on it. This includes not only being trustworthy and honest, but being professional. You would be on time, and meet your obligations as far as you have committed yourself. It is really disrespectful to keep people waiting as if their time is not important. Being conscientious also includes being accurate and efficient in presenting yourself and your work (skill set). Proofreading is that extra step that you should definitely take.

‘You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression’. The first impression will really stick to you whether positive or negative. Although people may overlook our imperfections since they also are not perfect, if we make chronic mistakes, then we can lose their respect and trust. Since there are factors we can’t control, such as how well the business will do in the future, you want to establish a strong relationship so that your foundation will not falter if things get rough down the line.

Internet Marketing – Is Free Always Good?

There are various ways that individuals receive free resources and gifts. For example from affiliate marketing programs. Many are wise enough to feel fortunate to have whatever ‘leg up’ they can get. Besides the financial benefit, it may have a positive effect on their mindset that someone is helping. Some realize they actually may have just saved $100s or even $1000s in development and start-up costs to create their home business. These folks have the best intentions and will likely make good use of what has been provided usually free of charge for affiliates.

However sometimes it appears people really do not know what they have been given. This could be because they don’t know how much something would cost them if they were to develop something themselves. With this group, often once the ‘high’ of joining the program and getting all the prizes is over, they are not really interested to see what would happen if they actually take action. They really don’t want to do any work and in fact what appealed to them was only free, easy, and today. They thought that because everything was free so far that the program would also get the traffic, leads and sales for them.

Once in a while there may be a total disconnect because someone may not trust the fact that some things are actually ‘free’. Then they expect to find out what it really costs. They may also stubbornly refuse to spend any money, not being a good sport to support a company that has been an advantage to them. They are only interested in a business that is totally free. What they are really saying is that is all it is worth to them = $000. These are often the same ones who also do not work for free (even for themselves) to build a home business. The only funny part is then they can’t understand why they failed except to blame the program.

It seems really stupid when someone can’t actually appreciate what they have been given, and without acknowledging that it has any value. For some reason they feel it is more logical for them to pretend it is nothing because it is free. They can’t stand obligation or feeling that they owe someone. Everything just goes to waste. They are absolved of all responsibility to appreciate it.

Maybe they at least make a shallow effort to look everything over. Cold feet? They pronounce that it’s not an option because it still (will) cost too much money, require too much work, or won’t have instant profit, (will take time to develop). Some just can’t understand how to get started even with instructions. For some reason they just give up right off the bat. It’s no big loss since it was free anyway.

Maybe it is just true that Internet marketing, or affiliate marketing are just not for everyone. We are all different and it is definitely no disgrace if you just can’t relate to this even for free. There is no shame and in fact it had some value that at least they made a tiny effort to see what it would involve.

Maybe years from now, when things may be different, you will try again. In the future, you may be able to do something that before seemed unachievable. You might try and fail 10 times before you get to the right time and opportunity for you. Just don’t give up.
